August 28th, 2008 at 10:31 am

This week’s Reel 13 shorts capture distinct senses of time and place. You voted for your favorite. Now find out which film won.

Winner: 11 Years of Absence
After leaving Yugoslavia in 1992 with her mother and sister, Iva would have to continue the rest of her life in foreign lands. As time passed, communication with her father became less frequent and more distant, as if overnight her parents were no longer together — a fact nobody remembered to mention. Directed by Iva Radivojevic.

You can catch 11 Years of Absence on the air Saturday August 30 between the Reel 13 classic and indie films.

Runner up: Neighbors
