Thousands of U.S. troops are getting discharged from the army. Many suffer from post-traumatic stress disorders and brain injuries, and aren’t getting the care they need. The Army claims these discharged soldiers have pre-existing mental illnesses or are guilty of misconduct. But advocates say these are wrongful discharges, a way for the army to get rid of “problem” soldiers quickly, without giving them the treatment to which they’re entitled.
